Desert
Plastics, Inc. believes that form and function should complement each
other. Rain harvesting systems, including rain barrels, need not clash
with your outdoor living environment. Our wide range of colors and
sizes helps make sure that your rain barrels will fit in with your
overall home and landscape design, and our two series of water harvesting
barrels let you find a configuration that fits both your home and
your budget.
Desert
Plastics is proud to set the standard for attractive, well-engineered,
cost-effective water harvesting tanks by introducing TWO distinctive
styles, the premier "Agua Fria" Series and the economic "Cubo" Series.
Both styles are available in THREE sizes and up to 15 colors! Our
rain barrel tops are child/animal resistant and include a mosquito-proof
strainer to prevent insect problems and help inhibit debris from entering
the tank; this helps reduce the need for cleaning that may result
from intrusion of organic matter into the tank.

us; also, check our web site periodically, as we will be adding
our rain harvesting products to our online store in the near future!

Agua Fria
The
"Agua Fria" Series of Water Harvesting Tanks are meant to be the set-it-and-forget-it tanks. Well engineered, aesthetically pleasing, and very low in maintenance, these tanks stand at the top of what is available in the U.S.
The Agua Fria rain barrels can be fitted with either the child / animal resistant, smoothly "bowled" catch-basin top or the canale top (see the "Cubo" illustration). They include valves at bucket height and at the base of the tank for ease of use and cleaning (both end in garden hose thread). Primary and secondary overflow ports are provided - with the piping inside the tank where it belongs, rather than outside where you can see it! Purchasers may specify positions for all valves and ports, and the Agua Fria line of rain barrels can
be outfitted in either gravity-feed or pump configurations.

Cubo
Meaning
"pail" or "little bucket" in spanish, the Cubo Series (shown here
with a canale top) is very popular. While not as feature-rich as the
Agua Fria Series, the Cubo Series of Water Harvesting Tanks bring
an amazing level of usefullness at an attractive price.

Transfer Tank
This
is a 200 gallon "Transfer" Tank. It's intended use is to transfer
potable water from point to point. Although available in all 11 colors,
we recommend Translucent White so the fluid level can be easily seen.

construction is virgin Linear (repairable) Polyethylene with a built-in
UV Protectant. This is an FDA-approved resin for contact with food
and potable water. These tanks are cylindrical, flat-topped, and completely
enclosed. They will fit between the wheel wells of a full-sized pickup
truck.
Standard fittings: (1) 1-1/2" spinwelded fitting,(1) 1-1/2"
threaded plug, and (1) 4-1/4" Ring and Lid mounted on top. Lid has
positions for OPEN, VENT, and LOCK. SHOWN in picture
